Qualification for the post of Gear Technician
Essential
1. Pass in Matriculation or its equivalent
2. Pass in Gear Technician’s course conducted by Central Institute of Fisheries, Nautical and
Engineering Training or an equivalent qualification.
Desirable : Two years experience in Assembling and repairing of fishing gears on board
the vessel, collection of fishing data.
Age Limit : No Age Restriction.
Registration fee: Rs.100/- (For General Candidates)
Rs. 50/- (For SC/ST Candidates)
2. Mode of Remittance: By way of Demand Draft from any Nationalized Bank drawn
in favour of the Finance Officer, Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean studies
payable at SBI SA Road Branch, Vyttila.
