Welding Robotics Manager

Location: Sharjah, UAE

Overall Purpose of Role :

  • The Robotics Manager will lead his team to support projects and field services activities including programming and documentation for robotics development.
  • Responsible for the execution and control of the tasks assigned by the reporting line manager for welding robotics activities specific for the assigned project as well as overall for administration of welding robotics tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to apply Robotics and build a back log of work in line with business priorities and the objectives of the Robotic Strategy. In addition to being able to work with and influence senior management, this will require an understanding of which technologies are best suited to different use-cases and to translate those into business cases with a clear ROI.
  • Support the business and its functions including sales in identification of opportunities and help drive the execution of complex projects
  • Support the design and build-out of ‘Robotic workforce management tools’ to ensure visibility and control of Robot performance
  • Industrialize a firm-wide Change Management approach to create a strong controls ecosystem around Robotic deployment
  • Support the development and articulation of program progress, successes and challenges through various presentations, training and forums.

Primary Responsibilities, Authorities & Accountabilities :

  • Drive reliability of Adaptive and TKY robot for continuous improvement.
  • Attend constructability reviews to deploy robots in the yard
  • Review and record issues / repairs and implement lesson learned
  • Annalise data from TKY and adaptive platform and provide weekly and monthly reports to senior management.
  • Coach and develop the robotics team
  • Lead the build-out of key supporting components such as:
  • Optimize and refine the playbook for each emerging technology to ensure the fastest delivery possible
  • Setup and maintain a knowledge sharing library
  • Lead the build-out of the Robotics Training Strategy

  • Ensure the productivity levels are maintained on all projects. Monitor progress of welding robotics activities and ensure adherence to scheduled completion of welding robotics activities.
  • Development of specifications and scope of work for software development for welding robotics tasks. Liaise with Lamprell IT Department for development of new systems for Welding Robotics. Co-ordination with Welding robotics development partners for development of new technologies for welding robotics activities
  • Ensure that all welding robotics related activities are safely, effectively and efficiently carried in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures the Lamprell Group Management System (LGMS).

Key Performance Indicator :

Role Specific Competencies :

  • B.Sc. / B Tech /BE / MSC / MS / M Tech / M.E. or Equivalent in Structural, Mechanical, or Offshore engineering

Project Manager – Shipbuilding

Location: Sharjah, UAE

Overall Purpose of Role :

Responsible for the execution of the Project assigned him and he acts as the focal point for all internal and external parties involved in the project. Facilitate coordination of all involved parties such that the project is carried out in a controlled, well-planned fashion. The Project Manager is responsible for monitoring all project activities and interfacing with project personnel to maintain at all times, an understanding of each area of project activity. Provide directions for execution of the projects. Ensure projects are executed as per client’s requirements and meet the HSE, Quality, Cost and Schedule objectives.

Primary Responsibilities, Authorities & Accountabilities :

  • In conjunction with the HSES and yard management teams ensure that all aspects of the project are executed safely and ensure compliance with HSES responsibilities.
  • In conjunction with the HSES team ensure that project risk assessments are carried out as necessary.
  • Responsible for managing project scope, planning, scheduling, budgeting, monitoring, minimizing risks and reporting progress for the assigned projects.
  • Ensure that all activities relating to the project are properly planned and that the plans and responsibilities therein are passed to and understood by all concerned parties.
  • Ensure in conjunction with the Procurement Supply Chain group that all materials and equipment (including FIM and OFE) are procured and delivered in accordance with the projects contract requirements.
  • Ensure that the project schedule and resource schedules and resource plans are properly prepared in accordance with the contract requirements and monitor the project to ensure its timely completion.
  • In conjunction with the production team ensure that labour resources are effectively and efficiently utilised in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
  • Manage all project costs against the project budget and allocate resource allowances to other company functions including production, engineering and QA/ QC to ensure that costs are controlled and efficiencies maximised.
  • In conjunction with the project Quantity Surveyor or Contract Administrator ensure ;an effective cost code structure is used to allocate and monitor budgets; timely and accurate invoicing and payment from the Client; monthly cost reports are accurately prepared in a timely manner; appropriate revenue and costs are recognized within cost reports; that subcontracts are properly negotiated, awarded and administered.
  • Managing project work orders from inception through to completion; evaluating resources utilization and justifying any deviations. Organizing kick-off meetings with clients and personnel.
  • Complete co-ordination between Client, Consultant, Material Suppliers/sub-contractors & internal departments.
  • Organizing, leading and coordinating activities of all project personnel to ensure delivery of projects within parameters of time, cost and quality consistent with clients’ requirement.
  • Monitors work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted Engineering Practices, and Client standards.
  • Ensuring effective utilization of the various technical personnel from subcontractors on the project with other Project Specialist and Engineers.
  • Reporting weekly/ monthly project progress and presenting the Quarterly Performance to customers. Attending weekly progress review meeting with client, prepare MOM and chase action items to close them before the committed schedules.
  • Disseminating project information / meeting notes / discussions with client, other Project Specialist and Engineer for smooth progress of the project.
  • Dealing with issues of variation orders and settlement of claims in negotiation with subcontractor.
  • Maintaining Key relationships with Line Manager, Client, Functional Managers, Project team.

Logistics Coordinator

Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia

Overall Purpose of Role :

  • Responsible for the timely, accurate and safe execution of Marine and Project Logistics movements and operations, integrated within the Project Management Team and Procurement department for the purpose of meeting the marine spread and cargo requirements of the projects.
  • The role is critical in executing Marine and Project Logistics activities to meet project requirements. The Coordinator works closely with Procurement and Project departments in the order to execute function together with partners in Supply Chain and service providers across geographic locations.
  • Responsible for Inward and Outward clearance of the marine spared (including VAT and duty segments)
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Marine and Project Cargo Logistics activities in compliance with rules and regulations of the Port & Customs Authority.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of SASO / SABER approval process

Primary Responsibilities, Authorities & Accountabilities :

  • Managing of Overall Marine Logistic operations involving a spectrum of activities in the execution of the rejuvenation contract.
  • Liaise with a wide spectrum of counterparts right from the internal departments (Procurement, project, IT, Finance to external (freight forwarders, Port, and customs) for the execution of the operation
  • Assist Procurement and Project Management team for evaluation/selection/and procurement process and mob/demob of Tug & Barge, Vessel and Jack-up Units, Anchored vessels and Dynamic positioning vessels.
  • Coordinate with Tug & Barge owners to ensure compliances and arrange navigation license.
  • Manage inward and outward Port & Customs clearance of Tug, barge and Vessels.
  • Liaises with Onshore and Offshore teams for crew and MWS mobilization,
  • Liaise with shipping agents, port authorities, project and site personnel to ensure that crew / supply boat turnaround was achieved in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Meet with shipping agents and ensure that the coordination team is always kept abreast of ever-changing local laws.
  • Co-ordinate with Project Management teams and Operations/Installation Team to ensure timely scheduling of Tug & Barge, Vessels, personnel and materials movement.
  • Assignment includes coordinating on all marine operations related to the projects handled by the Company including marine inspections, anchors handling, HSE aspects, marine risk management, Client relations, crew management and all other marine aspects related to the execution of projects.
  • Have knowledge of Domestic and International formalities for vessel, material and personnel movements.
  • Perform all duties in commitment to Company Business code of conduct for moral and ethics
  • Coordinate with SASO authorities on the clearance of shipments as and when required in order to ensure timely get the approval and get delivery of materials.
  • Full fill SASO reequipment and initiating the approval process as per the new SALEEM program for all products entering into Saudi Arabia are in conformity with national product safety and quality requirements via Saber electronic platform.
