State Bank of India (SBI) has officially released the Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification. This is a great opportunity for fresh graduates to gain hands-on banking experience under India's largest public sector bank. A total of 7,150 vacancies are available across all states and UTs, with online applications open from 19 May to 08 June 2026.

Eligibility criteria
Educational qualification
Candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognised university or institute. The date of passing must be on or before 01 April 2026. Final year students whose results are not yet declared are not eligible.
Age limit (as on 01 April 2026)
Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates as per Government of India guidelines.
Other conditions
- Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961 are not eligible.
- Candidates with one year or more of post-graduation work experience are also not eligible.
- Each candidate can apply for one state only and appear in the online exam once.
Stipend & benefits
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹15,000 for the one-year engagement period. No other allowances or benefits are applicable.
